Ballot Measure 300 Bedrooms Are For People

"The City of Boulder's current occupancy code 9-8-5 allows up to 3 unrelated persons in low density residential areas and up to 4 in medium-high density areas.

Since the beginning of this code ( 50 years ago) many residences have been over occupied with known eviction of the residents possible.

We met today are Chelsea Castellano and Eric Budd co-leaders of Bedrooms Are for People, ballot measure 300. This measure increases the amount of unrelated people that can occupy bedrooms in a home. What is this ballot measure and why is it important. How has this measure been stopped by the Boulder City Council before."
