"A Boulder District Court judge is tasked with untangling a mess of state and local laws, along with guidance from city officials, that have ensnared the Bedrooms Are For People ballot initiative in an election quagmire.
Campaign organizers are suing the city after months of mixed messages and erroneous information that led to the initiative not being placed on the November ballot.
City officials gave organizers the wrong information on deadline and signature requirements, and City Council members later declined to refer the measure to the ballot."
